Two Maltese men were today arraigned in court over a spate of thefts that have taken place in Gozo in the past few days.
The police said the men, a 25-year-old from Imtarfa and a 36-year-old from Marsascala, were arrested after a woman reported that her personal belongings were stolen from Marsalforn Bay.
“After further investigations, the police solved a number of thefts that had taken place at Marsalforn.”
The men were arraigned before Magistrate Joanne Vella Cuschieri and were charged with theft and receiving stolen items. The 36-year-old was also accused of relapsing.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges and were granted bail against a deposit of €1,000 and a personal guarantee of €3,000.
