Malta international striker Andre Schembri scored his first goal in the Portuguese Primeira Liga in Boavista’s 2-2 home draw against Chaves.
Andre Schembri scored the opener for Boavista on 36 minutes from a Santos pass.
In the second half Elhouni levelled matters for Chaves, but three minutes later on 75 minutes Boavista were back in front thanks to an Espinho penalty.
Perdigao snatched the equaliser for Chaves six minutes from time. The result leaves Boavista in sixth place in the standings with five points in three matches, still unbeaten with a win and two draws. Andre Schembri was a regular starter so far for Boavista in all three matches played.
The Maltese striker now joins the national squad led by Pietro Ghedin for the friendly match against Estonia and for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Scotland on Sunday.
