Young lady injured with pointed instrument in St Julian’s robbery

A young lady was injured with a pointed instrument during the course of a robbery in St Julian’s, the police said.

At 4am, a Maltese 25-year-old woman and a Polish 33-year-old woman were approached by an unknown person who tried to steal their handbags in Lourdes Street.

The Maltese woman was stabbed with a pointed instrument during the robbery. She was taken to hospital for treatment.

The man ran off with one of the handbags.

The police are requesting help from anyone with information about the incident. Calls can be made confidentially on 119 and 21224001.
