A Sicilian father and daughter have been arrested as they were about to board the catamaran to Malta with a car carrying 50 kilos of hash and marijuana, the Italian media is reporting.

The pair was identified as 46-year-old Nicola Musumeci and his daughter, 20 year-old Giusi, from Catania.  The father is being held in preventive custody in Ragusa and the daughter is under house arrest.
