Through the 2016 Edition of the Malta Film Fund over Euro 230,000 were awarded to seven different projects by local film makers. The support varies from writers’ grants, film development grants, to short films and feature film productions.

The Film Fund plays an important part in the Government’s strategy to boost the local film industry and create more opportunities for local talent.

To ensure accountability and transparency the projects were chosen following a competitive call and the evaluation process was done by an international panel of experts.
