The Malta Police Association this week filed a complaint with the European Commission on the fact that the government has not implemented a European Union directive regulating health and safety at the workplace.

The association said that this shortcoming has led to issues which cannot be resolved by the Occupational Health and Safety Authority because the latter does not have jurisdiction.
