Following the recent delivery of 4 DAF concrete mixer trucks to Attard Brothers, two fuel transportation trucks to Cassar Petroleum Ltd and four tractor units to Attrans Ltd, United Equipment Co. (UNEC) Ltd. has now delivered seven DAF tractor units to EUROCEM Ltd.
United Equipment Co. (UNEC) Ltd. is a subsidiary company of Bonnici Group and acts as the authorized representative of the DAF brand in Malta.
"This latest delivery of seven tractor units to EUROCEM Ltd is yet another vote of confidence in the DAF brand and reflects its growing reputation in Malta," said John Bonello, Sales Executive at UNEC Ltd.
"As DAF's official representatives in Malta, we are proud of every DAF vehicle that we deliver. With every truck or tractor unit we deliver, we know we are enabling our customers to drive their business better and more effectively. This is due to the fuel efficiency, the premium build, the technology and the unequalled comfort and handling they offer to its drivers. These are the main qualities that define the DAF brand and contribute to the brand's growing popularity in Malta," added John Bonello.
EUROCEM Ltd is a new company founded this year and specializes mainly in the bulk importation of cement products.
Malcolm Gingell, Managing Director at EUROCEM Ltd said "the industry is going through great shakes and with increased demand comes increased responsibility to operate more efficiently both in terms of output as well as with matters related to the environment. This is why we decided to opt for DAF tractor trucks because their quality standards will help us operate in a more eco-friendly environment and with a lesser carbon footprint."
The tractor truck models all come with an MX-13 6 cylinder 12.9 Litre engine and Exhaust Emission Euro 6. These models also feature an automated AS tonic 12 speed gearbox which includes Fast Shift, Eco Roll and Hill Start Assist. All models are ADR approved as per Safety Regulation certification.
Established in 1928, DAF is a truck manufacturing company based in the Netherlands and has a truck distribution network across the world.
"Minimizing the environmental impact of its products is an integrated part of DAF's development process," adds John Bonello.
"Through its established 'EcoDesign' policies, DAF looks for solutions that are good for the environment and improve the efficiency of its trucks. DAF was in fact one of the first European truck manufacturers that started production of its hybrid distribution trucks, based on a parallel diesel/electric hybrid system. Through this system, DAF trucks can achieve savings in fuel consumption and therefore CO2 emissions of up to 20%."
