Bjorn Vassallo has resigned from his post as general secretary of the Malta Football Association. His resignation has been accepted.

Mr Vassallo will be taking up a position at FIFA.

The MFA vice-president, Chris Bonett, was also offered a post at UEFA, but he declined.

The MFA is currently holding a meeting to discuss the way forward after Mr Vassallo’s resignation.
