The BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation launches its Fund Raising Concert 2016

The BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation announced that the annual fund raising Concert will this year take place on the 7th December at Teatru Manoel starting at 20.00 hours. Seats for the concert are available against a donation of EUR100 each (stalls and lower boxes) or EUR 50 (gallery). Tickets may be reserved through teatrumanoel.com.mt.

The fund raising concert is an annual event organised by the Foundation through which it seeks to generate the necessasy funding to achieve its objectives. Patrons attending the concert will be witnessing the Maltese Tenor Joseph Calleja who will be flanked by several of the Foundation's scholars performing in a most prestigious venue.  They will be accompanied by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Brian Schembri.

Speaking about the Concert, Joseph Calleja said, "I always look forward to this event, where I perform together with several of our scholars. I am  thrilled, particularly this year, that the concert is being hosted at the Teatru Manoel, and I am convinced that with the repertoire we are putting together this will be an intimate event and unforgettable experience for our benefactors."

Patrons attending will also be invited to a reception to which Joseph Calleja and the accompanying artists will be attending.The reception will be held at the Casino Maltese and will commence right after the concert.  

Set up in 2014 by its founding members, Joseph Calleja and Bank of Valletta, the BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation has two main objectives -  To provide financial assistance, encouragement and support to exceptionally talented young persons in the field of the performing arts, in order to enable them to realise their full potential; and to provide assistance and support to children coming from difficult social backgrounds and environments, whose situations are not catered for by existing social support programmes.
