Minister for Justice Owen Bonnici has asked the Speaker to investigate what he claims to be the breach of parliamentary privilege by Shadow Minister Jason Azzopardi. Dr Bonnici said this after the parliamentary question time in Parliament this evening.

In more than one occasion, Dr Azzopardi claimed that the Minister lied in Parliament about the commissions handed to Henley and Partners in the citizenship scheme.

He said that this is the first time that he can speak about this case in Parliament.

"Corrupt clique are despicable words that we should avoid using," he said while his fellow MPs hummed "shame, shame."

Speaker Anglu Farrugia said he would look into the matter.
