On 11 November Din L-Art Helwa held its celebratory annual autumn concert and dinner at the iconic Grand Hall of St John's Cavalier, kindly made available by H.E. Ing. Umberto Di Capua, Ambassador of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St John of Jerusalem, Rhodes and Malta.

The highlight of the evening was a string performance by the Rotterdam Ensemble, with artistic director Roberto Beltrán-Zavala, who hails from Mexico. The Ensemble was available thanks to the generous support of Dr John Vassallo and Dr Marianne Noll, both of whom are most valued life members and benefactors of Din l-Art Helwa. The expert musicians, of international fame, performed works by Von Biber, Vivaldi and Shostakovich, entertaining the guests with their vivacious, brilliant performance. 

Maria Grazia Cassar, executive secretary Din l-Art Helwa and Cettina Caruana Curran, who has been organising this event for several years, welcomed Minister Evarist Bartolo and  H.E. Mr Joop Nijssen and Mrs Nijssen who were special guests.

Welcome drinks were served at 7.15pm to a motley crowd of enthusiasts hailing from many different parts of the world giving the evening an international flavour. After the concert guests were treated to a delicious gourmet dinner served by Osborne Caterers.
