A fire this morning led to a number of high end cars being damaged at a showroom early this morning.

The incident reportedly took place at around 5.40am, at Premier Car Showroom in Constitution Street, Mosta.

It has been said that the fire started after one of the vehicles combusted in the showroom. The road was closed after the Civil Protection Department were called to the scene in order to extinguish the fire, and was reopened at around 6.30am.

Police have said that the extent of the damage is considerable.
