INDEPTH: The issues we had remain between me and Joseph Muscat – Anġlu Farrugia

Thursday, 19 January 2017, 10:14 Last update: about 8 years ago

Not all is water under the bridge between Prime Minister and Labour Leader Joseph Muscat and current Speaker of the House Anġlu Farrugia.

Dr Farrugia was PL Deputy Leader till the eve of the 2013 election when he was sidelined by Muscat and his team and replaced by Louis Grech, who became Deputy Prime Minister upon Labour’s massive victory four years ago.

Dr Farrugia was interviewed on INDEPTH by The Malta Independent’s Director of Content Pierre Portelli. The programme will be available online shortly and distributed to Fliving TV, Smash TV and Campus FM simultaneously.

In the interview, Dr Farrugia was asked to declare if he negotiated his daughter’s controversial appointment to the bench. He was also asked to say if he’s still considering to run for Parliament with the Labour Party in the next upcoming general election. The Speaker of the House had to reply to questions on his travel extravaganza in his capacity as Speaker.

In the meantime, last week’s INDEPTH on www.independent.com.mt with PN candidate Salvu Mallia reached a record 55,000 views in the span of five days.
