Watch: Busuttil says PM does not know ‘A-B-Cs’ of allegations of Minister Cardona at a brothel

Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil quipped that when the Prime Minister said he believes Economy Minister Chris Cardona about the allegations he visited a brothel in Germany from ‘A to Z’, it is because he does not know the ‘a-b-c’s’ of the issue.

Blogger and The Malta Independent columnist Daphne Caruana Galizia reported allegations that Dr Cardona, together with his policy coordinator Joe Gerada, visited a brothel named FKK Acapulco in Velbert, Germany, while on a ministerial visit. The conference he was attending, in Essen, is half an hour away from the brothel.

While responding questions to the press following a press conference today, Dr Busuttil said:

“Let me make it clear, I do not believe Chris Cardona. When the Prime Minister says he believes him from A to Z, it means that the Prime Minister still does not know the ‘a b c’s’ of this issue, ‘a’ being Acapulco, ‘b’ being a brothel and ‘c’ being Chris Cardona.

So far, two libel cases have been filed against Mrs Caruana Galizia. Dr Cardona said he was at his hotel at the time of the allegations, insisting that he will provide evidence in court as it is the “appropriate” forum to do so.
