The Labour Party has said that the latest economic reports published by Fitch, the European Commissions and IMF show that a strong economy is resulting in better quality of life for the Maltese.

Addressing a press conference, PL MPs Silvio Schembri and Aaron Farrugia, said that these results were only possible thanks to a government that was able to take decisions. "The government has managed to take good decisions to help the economic wheel go round without burdening the Maltese families," they said.

In a reaction, the Nationalist Party said that despite all the government propaganda, the truth is that the Maltese families are not benefitting from these results. "While it is positive to achieve such positive results, the most important thing is that the economy is for the people."
