Nationalist Party Leader Simon Busuttil today attended the summit of the European People's Party in Brussels. EPP leaders met prior to the European Council meeting, also being held in Brussels today.

During the Summit, Simon Busuttil gave leaders an update of the situation in Malta and outlined the preparations of the EPP Congress which will be held in Malta on 29 and 30 March. EPP leaders, some 1,300 delegates and over 100 journalists are expected to attend the congress in Malta.

Attending today's summit were European Council President Donald Tusk, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, European People's Party President Joseph Daul, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy and other Prime Ministers and leaders from all over Europe.

Simon Busuttil was accompanied by Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs Roberta Metsola.
