Speaking during a live question-and-answer session on Facebook, held in order to mark four years in government, with reference to the db Group claim that, in order to cover the wages of Nationalist Party officials, the business group was invoiced by the Nationalist Party's media company MediaLink Communications for services never rendered, Malta's Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said: "The Electoral Commission, as the responsible body, should investigate this case of fraud and money-laundering..."

In view of the above, and considering that the offices of Keith Schembri and Konrad Mizzi are in his building (Auberge) at Castille, he himself should investigate whether their secret offshore companies were ever utilised for hiding illicit commissions or for money-laundering.
