From 1 May 2017, Lufthansa will increase the number of frequencies to Frankfurt from Malta, adding a third daily flight.                                                          

The new seasonal connection, in addition to the two already existing Lufthansa daily flights to the main and biggest Lufthansa hub, will leave Malta at 0630, arriving in Frankfurt at 0910. The new late inbound flight departs from Germany at 2020 with arrival in Malta at 2250.

This third flight will be operated throughout the summer season 2017, until 28 October.

Thanks to this additional flight - that strengthens our presence on the island - Malta can enjoy the extensive intercontinental network in Frankfurt, including in particular the several connections to and from North America (like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami)”, says Steffen Weinstok, Senior Director Sales Italy & Malta Lufthansa Group.

The 0630hrs departure optimizes travel time for passengers who wish to reach an onward destination early while the late departure time from Frankfurt is an ideal timing for travelers after a days’ work on the Continent.

Lufthansa Group’s presence in Malta is very strong: besides the flights to Frankfurt, currently Lufthansa Group also operates 10 weekly flights to the different hubs of Groups Airlines – Lufthansa (Munich), SWISS (Zurich), Austrian/Eurowings (Vienna).
