Half price nextbike memberships in April

Tuesday, 2 May 2017, 12:53 Last update: about 8 years ago

nextbike has announced a 50% discount on its annual membership for this month to promote a modal shift in transportation to cleaner, healthier and more sustainable ways. Since its launch three months ago, nextbike is pleased to have seen a steady increase in patronage with over 3,500 rentals in March, a 75% increase over the previous month. Moreover, at such a high level of rentals, nextbike is proving to be an extremely safe bicycle-sharing system with only one reported minor accident over a three-month period.

"We are pleased to note that the number of commuters using nextbike to work is increasing on a monthly basis and we also note some customers who make extensive use of nextbike, some clocking up to 150 rentals since we've launched our bike-sharing system in December. With more stations planned, we aim to provide better connections and give our customers a healthier, cleaner and more efficient alternative than other forms of public transportation. Indeed, the April offer is a massive money saver as it gives our customers 30 minutes of free use every time a bike is rented instead of the customary €1.50 for the first 30 minutes."

Moreover, in our bid to promote safe bicycle use, customers having a nextbike membership can claim a 20% discount on helmets from Magri Cycles in Mosta.

"Today being the last day, we encourage all those who are interested to download the app, or register on our website www.nextbike.com.mt and book the Spring Fling Promotion to immediately benefit from the offer."

nextbike members will also benefit from value-added activities like the educational bike tours that are being organised on different topics providing an excellent weekend outdoor activity. The nextbike tours will be totally free of charge for customers having a membership subscription.
