An elderly motorcyclist was injured this morning when the bike he was riding was involved in a collision with a car.

The accident happened at 11.15am in San Anard Street, Tarxien.

The 69-year-old biker, of Paola, was taken to hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car, a 36-year-old woman of Fgura, was unhurt.
