Four people injured in traffic accident in Mdina outskirts

Four people were injured this morning when two cars crashed in the outskirts of Mdina, the police said today.

The accident happened at 4.30am, and involved a Citroen Berlingo driven by a 66-year-old of Mtarfa and a Vauxhall Corsa driven by an Italian 26-year-old, resident of San Gwann.

The Italian driver had two Italian passengers with him, a 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man.

All four were taken to hospital for treatment, with the two passengers reported to have suffered grievous injuries.
