On its second day, Parliament has already begun experiencing fatigue, with most of the MPs unable to make it to the 9am sitting this morning.
Minister for European Affairs and Equality Helena Dalli started a debate regarding health and safety regulations in Malta.
Dalli said that figures of injuries and deaths in the workplace have dropped consistently over the last couple of years.
She said that the country needed comprehensive statistics over a long period of time to properly examine the situation, which see says the OHSA has already began compiling such figures.
“We need to try our best to ensure that people do not end up at home with an injury, a diability, or possibly even worse.”
Nationalist MP Therese Comodini Cachia is now making her maiden speech in reply.
