A Syrian man has suffered grievous injuries after falling onto the rocks at St Thomas Bay, the police said in a statement.

The incident occurred at 8.30 pm last night, when the police were informed that its assistance was required in the area known as tal-Fajtata, Marsaskala.

Members of the Red Cross assisted until an ambulance arrived and the man was taken to hospital.
