The government has introduced two new web applications to calculate an individual's monthly pension, and for those who choose to retire at an accommodation for elderly citizens, Minister for Family, Children's Rights and Social Solidarity Michael Falzon announced at a press conference.
The apps will be made available for persons over 50 years of age and will allow the nation to have easier access to the information.
This, Falzon said, reinforces the government's commitment to reduce social exclusion and increase social justice.
This follows the ministry's launch of 'Online Benefit Calculators', which cover children's allowance, in-work, unemployment, and sick benefits last April.
Falzon clarified that people may still access their pension information through the freephone 153, and at the social security offices within the community.
