Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife are today in Malta on a private visit, a government statement read.
They will attend a number of private engagements and will meet the Prime Minister and his wife, Michelle Muscat.
Blair had, during the last local election campaign, endorsed Prime Minister Joseph Muscat through a video message which was played at PL political events.
The former British Prime Minister had said, when asked whether he was paid for the endorsement: "There was categorically neither any suggestion of a payment nor was one sought."
Blair served as the UK's Prime Minister from 1997 to 2007 and was Leader of the UK's Labour Party from 1994 to 2007.
