With 10 days to go to the start of the Malta football season, BOV Premier League champions Hibernians FC have snapped up Brazilian 26-year-old striker Jorge Elias dos Santos.

Jorge Elias signed terms with Hibernians FC for one year and will fill in the void left by former Brazil striker Jorginho who left to join Khaleej Club Saihat in Saudi Arabia's top elite division.

The 1,80 m forward joins the Paolites' from Austria's SV Kapfenberg thus making three the signings arriving from Austria for the Maltese champions as they look to retain the title.

Elias also starred for Ukraine top division side Chornomorets Odessa last season where he was on loan.
