A search is underway for two young men, aged 19 and 21, near the Blata tal-Melh area in Rabat, after a fisherman found two bags containing mobiles, clothes, and shoes by the shore at 5 a.m this morning.

According to the police, the search, which is being assisted by the Armed Forces of Malta is occurring both on land and at sea.

One of the men is Maltese from Birzebbugia, while the other is a foreigner (nationality not disclosed) from Birkirkara.

The men arrived at the location by bicycle.
