A decomposing body was discovered this afternoon in the sea off St Julian’s, the police said.
The corpse was seen at around 6.30pm.
The unidentified body was lifted out of the water by the Armed Forces of Malta and taken to Haywharf, from where it was taken to the morgue.
Last Saturday, a French youngster went missing after jumping off a boat with five other young men.
Magistrate Josette Demicoli is conducting an inquiry.
