A motorcyclist was this morning hospitalised with serious injuries after a collision with a pick-up truck in Gozo.

The accident took place at around 7am in Triq Tal-Gruwa, Xewkija.

The police found that a Mitsubishi L200 driven by a 20-year-old man from Xewkija had had an impact with a Honda CRF 250L motorcycle that was being driven by a 41-year-old man from Sannat.

The cyclist was taken to the Gozo General Hospital by ambulance. The police are investigating the case.
