Katya Grech, 25, Sales and Revenue Executive at be.HOTEL and Shaun Grech, 27, Director at Incredible Web held their ceremony at Parish Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, Mellieħa followed by a reception held at Palazzo Nobile, Naxxar

Katya came to Malta for a summer holiday and little did she know that she was about to meet her future husband, Shaun. It was love at first sight for both, but Katya, the first time they met gave Shaun the wrong contact details, by mistake. Luckily it did not stop Shaun tracking her down and managing to contact her again and the rest is history.

A few months later, Shaun went to Russia to meet Katya and her family and eventually they decided that it would be best for them both for Katya to move to Malta, after graduating. A year later Katya did move to Malta and Shaun proposed some two years after that; he proposed under the sea! Shaun surprised her while they were scuba diving.

On the 8th of July, 2016, they exchanged vows at the Mellieħa Parish Church, followed by a reception at Palazzo Nobile, in Naxxar. They chose the venue because they wanted to celebrate in style somewhere away from a residential area and Palazzo Nobile was the perfect location for them.

Katya wore a pure white satin ball gown dress that she exclusively got from a shop in Russia, while Shaun hired his suit from Cefai Formal Wear.

They enjoyed every second of their wedding day, it was truly a day to remember not only for them but for their families and guests.

 

The newlyweds went for a road trip along the US East Coast and the island of Bastimentos in Panama.
