Two Maltese men and an Italian woman were arrested by the police on Wednesday evening after a substantial amount of cannabis resin was found in their possession at Ghadira, the police said.

The raid was carried out by members of the Drug Squad on a boat.

It is believed that the amount of drugs seized is around 70 kilogrammes.

Magistrate Marseanne Farrugia is conducting an inquiry.
