Delia claims PN has no crisis of values; pledges fight against commercialising prostitution

Friday, 8 September 2017, 14:03 Last update: about 8 years ago

PN leadership candidate Adrian Delia claims that the Nationalist Party does not have a crisis of values and principles.

He spoke during an activity for PN paid members. He said that if elected, the PN would not become "Labour Mark 2", but would keep the PN values and principles strong, and would remain the voice in favour of the family, of tolerance, of democracy, of generosity and of inclusivity.

He claimed that people spreading fear that the PN would become a photocopy of the PL shows that they do not trust the judgement of councillors and paid members. "The PN belongs to all nationalists, as well as those persons who want honest politics, ready to fight for the little guy, ready to open up to the ideas of small business, the experience of the elderly and the energy of youth."

The PN, Delia said, will take a strong position against certain laws that government will push for, "particularly the law that will commercialise prostitution." He said that the PN will defend the democratic-Christian values.

He also spoke about vindictive transfers by government, stating that the PN will be the shield of the workers affected.

He also said that the PN must "not accept that the taking of drugs should be a personal choice as the Health Minister said."

He said that Malta lacks a long-term plan.
