The roof of a block of apartments in Sliema collapsed after construction material fell from a nearby crane.

The police have confirmed that the incident took place in Pace Street Sliema at around 3pm. An ambulance arrived on site.

It appears that the material which caused the roof to cave in fell from a crane in a construction site next to the property. A magisterial inquiry together with police investigations is underway.
