In a statement, the Labour Party said Mulvaney was a pioneer in broadcasting.
The PL said Mulvaney inspired many of her followers at a time when broadcasting was not open to women as much as it is today. Her determination showed that people can achieve their goals in spite of difficulties.
The Nationalist Party also expressed its condolences.
