The police are investigating a fire incident which occurred late last night.

This newsroom is informed that at around 10:30pm yesterday evening, the police were called at Triq is-Sorijiet in Tarxien after a car was engulfed in flames. 

It is suspected that the fire first started with a Peugeot 208. Four other cars which were parked next to it and the facade of three properties were severely damaged. 

The police are conducting an investigation to try and find out what started the fire. Members of the Civil Protection Department arrived on site. An inquiry was launched.
