The Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development spent almost €19,000 in adverts and promotions on the social media.
Minister Jose' Herrera presented this information in parliament this evening. He was replying to a question by Nationalist Party MP Jason Azzopardi who asked how much money did the Ministry spend on adverts and promotion on Facebook, Twitter and other social media.
The €19,000 were spent over a period of four years. The Don't Waste Wasta campaign proved to be the most expensive, with an advert campaign of little more than €15,000. Wasteserv advertising campaign ranks second most expensive with more than €2,000.
This money was spent on campaigns for ministry itself and the entities which fall under it.
