Former Minister and current MP Edward Zammit Lewis has taken to Facebook, as has become customary for many parliamentarians, to express his love for Prime Minister Joseph Muscat by quoting Celine Dion’s 1996 Grammy-award winning romantic ballad ‘Because you loved me.’

The former minister posted a photo of Joseph Muscat beneath one of the Maltese flag, with verses of the song superimposed on it.

Accompanying the surreal post were a few verses from the MP:

 “Good Morning friends, Joseph Muscat is our Leader and as the parliamentary group we will remain behind you. What a difference from other people! The population deserve the best and at this present time only Labour can offer this.”
