Round 2 of Yamaha Gozo Motocross championship

The Gozo Motorcross Association organised its second round of the championship 2017/18 at Ta' Xħajma Track. Eighteen riders participated in today's event, watched by numerous fans who came to support their favourite riders.The competition proved to be an unpredictable and changeable moment wrapped up in a dramatic atmosphere of emotion, noise, expectation and excitement.

Riders of Class A dominated the day as twice Champion 2014/15 and 2015/16 Etienne Bigeni, fought hard against Stefan Dimech, Steve Xuereb, Edward Ciantar and Joseph Bigeni.  Xuereb came in third while Bigeni won this category with a one point dominance on Dimech. Robert Spiteri and Keith Bugeja also participated in Class A.

Class B was just as challenging with Nataniel Camilleri and Brandon Slowe, both striving hard for first place. In fact Slowe ended up first, followed very closely by Camilleri. Jorn Stellini came in third followed by Joseph Luke Gauci.

In Class C, Anthony Fenech, Matthew Buttigieg and Matthew Spiteri challenged each other while the return of Kurt Fenech put Steve Cassar and Raymond Caruana at a disadvantage. Buttigieg came in first place while Fenech came in second followed by Spiteri. Emma Xuereb also competed in this class.

Gozo Motocross Association  announces that the third round of the Yamaha Gozo Motocross Championship 2016/17 will take place on Sunday 10th  December 2017 at Ta' Xhajma Track. Races start at 13:00.
