The Malta Women's national football team easily cruised to a 4-0 win over the United Arab Emirates in a friendly international match played at the Centenary Stadium, today afternoon.

Clearly in command from the very first whistle, Mark Gatt's Malta team surged to a 3-0 half-time lead from a brace from captain Dorienne Theuma, who enjoyed a fine match, together with Anderlecht Dames' playmaker Rachel Cuschieri who too was in blazing form for the locals.

Jade Flask had earlier on made it 2-0 before Theuma's second from the penalty spot secured a comfortable half-time lead for the ladies in red.

The locals added another goal at the change of ends through Raina Giusti to make the score 4-0.

Malta, currently ranked 91st in the FIFA rankings against the U.A.E.'s 80th position will meet again on Sunday morning in another friendly international at the same venue, kick off:  10:00 hours.
