Libyan man stabbed to death following argument in Birkirkara

A 40-year-old Libyan man died in hospital this morning after he was stabbed during an argument in Birkirkara, the police said. 

The incident took place in Bwieraq Street, Birkirkara, at 2.30am.

The police said that three people of foreign descent were involved in a heated argument during which a pointed instrument was used. The victim was a resident of Mara.

Police say they are holding two Libyans in connection with the case.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera is conducting an inquiry.
