Archbishop visits San Andrea School for 25th anniversary

School’s Shekinah/Prayer Room also marks its 10th anniversary

On 29 November 2017, San Andrea School had the pleasure and honour of hosting a visit by His Grace Charles Scicluna, Archbishop of Malta, to mark the 10th anniversary of the Shekinah (prayer room in Senior School) which coincides with the 25th anniversary of the school.

His Grace was greeted by Heads of School Mr Stephen Briffa and Ms Dorothy Lapira, Chairman Mr Kevin Spiteri, board member Kevin Sciberras, Chaplain Fr Jimmy Bonnici, the chaplaincy team, the Prayer and Action Group and the full complement of teaching and administration staff.

His Grace was also welcomed by students from Nursery to Grade 5 and later met with students from Grades 6 to 12.

During his visit, His Grace blessed the Shekinah/Prayer Room, as well as the brand-new Biology Laboratory, Home-Economics / Hospitality Laboratory, Clinic and Senior School and Learning Support Assistant's staff rooms.
