Another honour for Michelle Muscat: this time from Celebrating Women International

The Prime Minister’s wife Michelle Muscat has been awarded another honour, this time by Celebrating Women International, for her work in “politics and philanthropy”, a Department of Information statement said.

On Tuesday, Muscat was awarded the “National Volunteer of the Year” award by the Malta Council for Voluntary Work.

The Celebrating Women International award was presented to Muscat in a ceremony held in the Bahamas. Another 15 persons from the political, philanthropic and business world were also awarded.

During her stay, Muscat met the wife of Bahamas Prime Minister Patricia Minnis. She also made several presentations on the Marigold Foundation with the aim of the expanding the organisation’s work.

Muscat was accompanied by Phyllis Muscat, who use to lead the CHOGM Task Force, and Jennifer Xuereb, the Marigold Foundation’s executive secretary.
