An elderly British person, 79 years old, was found dead in his bedroom in Kercem this morning.
The police were alerted and, on entering the house, smelled heavy fumes of gas, possibly from a defective heater.
The man was found lifeless on his bed.
Magistrate Joanne Cuschieri was informed and appointed experts to help in the inquiry.
