Ira Losco preparing for her Double Album upcoming release

Tuesday, 16 January 2018, 09:19 Last update: about 7 years ago

Still Malta's most active solo female artist to date- Ira Losco did not disappoint her audience at her recent sold out concert, where the Grand Master Suite at The Hilton was brimming with loyal followers and music lovers alike.

All enjoyed a night celebrating Losco's 15 years in music.

The evening kicked off with the up and coming Joe Roscoe and followed with the fiery sisters The New Victorians. Ira then took to the stage for a solid two-hour impressive show of perfectly synched light and visuals to accompany a repertoire, which included her biggest singles to date. The audience sang along, stood up and cheered as the night progressed.

Ira was joined by an eclectic choice of guests and Gillian Zammit's children's choir singing her very own songs as well as some Christmas classics. The night was full of surprises, including a video message from Fr. Rob with whom Ira collaborated on the ever so popular single Dominoes, a 15-year anniversary edition of her first ever single Love me or Hate me which has become somewhat of an anthem for the LGBTIQ community and an exclusive live rendition of her new single due to be released shortly called One in a Million

The 15-year anniversary edition of Love me or Hate me is now also available for free download from https://we.tl/WVC0T4cjuF in lead up to the  release of Ira's much-awaited double album. The album will feature over 20 new tracks, with all singles being accompanied by music videos.

"Committing to several releases accompanied by music videos is no easy feat, however I strongly believe that my audience do not expect anything less from me.  I love the way a song takes on even more life once its video is released," said an enthusiastic Ira Losco.

"This year was very challenging and closing it off with the Christmas concert was an amazing experience. The current line up of the band probably showcases some of the best musicians in Malta right now. I have also received a lot of great feedback from people saying that it was my best concert to date. That makes me even more determined to keep performing and sharing my music with my audience."

In the meantime work on her double album ensues and a series of live events have already been booked.  More information regarding this will be available on Ira's official Facebook Page.

"The date of Ira's double album release will be announced soon. As the term implies it was double the work on this project, but as always Ira wanted to do something special for her fans after 15 years of them being loyal to her. This in turn strengthens her repertoire and allows her to have an even more extensive live show. There are several interesting and exciting things in the pipeline for 2018 and 2019." said Ira's manager Howard Keith Debono.
