Preparations are full speed ahead for the Valletta 18 opening ceremony and a programme of activities that will be held across the capital city on Saturday, the day when Valletta officially becomes Europe's capital city of cultue for the rest of the year.

What’s in store for this Saturday night’s grand opening?

The opening ceremony will be held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, presided by President Marie-Louise Colerio Preca.

This will be followed by the Erba’ Pjazez event, which is set to unfold across the city as activities take place on the hour, every hour.
