The Overseas returned victorious from a tournament in Athens where they met three local teams namely, Attica Springboks, Panathinaikos and Athens Spartans. 

In their first match the Maltese beat Attica Springboks 20-5, going on to win 15-0 against Panathinaikos, the third game was a direct win to Overseas as Athens Spartans conceded a walk-over. 

In the other matches Panathinaikos beat Athens Spartans 20-0, Attica Springboks vs Athens Spartans 29-0 and Attica Springboks vs Panathinaikos 10-5. With these results Swieqi Overseas won the tournament followed by Attica Springboks and Panathinaikos in third. 

In an exhibition match after the tournament a selection from the three Greek teams beat the Overseas 10-7.
