Q&A with Caroline from the Finance & Legal Team at Konnekt

Konnekt was originally set up in 2007. Last year marked their 10th anniversary. This year brought an update to give their image a more contemporary style, with the introduction of a new logo for 2018.

Q&A session with Dr Caroline Muscat, the Assistant Recruitment Manager within the Legal & Finance Team at Konnekt.

What brought you to Konnekt?

Although my background and experience were completely different from the world of recruitment, my move to Konnekt was a fully conscious and well-thought choice. It wasn’t simply because I wanted to do something different and did not know what to do. It also wasn’t a simple process to be recruited for Konnekt. I was pleased to go through a rigorous process however, as it helped me to understand whether I was making the right choice and to actively pursue it. It was also clear from the start what values Konnekt embraces and the company culture one would expect. Almost 4 years later, certainly no regrets.

Why did you stay?

A Konnekt journey is never an easy one - but always very rewarding. I found I was learning something new every day, taking a new step every day and never getting too comfortable. The only boundaries there are at Konnekt are the ones we impose on ourselves and the idea is to only impose the boundary between what is right and what is wrong. It may sound simple, but pushing yourself out of your comfort zone on a daily basis requires a strong conscious effort. Assistance, training, coaching, guidance and the occasional prodding in the right direction, are always here. In summary, your journey with Konnekt is what you make it.

How are Konnekt’s values present on a day to day basis?

Konnekt strongly promotes a culture where initiatives taken are encouraged and appreciated. A strong emphasis is placed on taking the right course of action and not the easy way out. This is true for our dealings with clients, candidates as well as internally. As with any other business, we strive towards reaching our goals and finding the right solution for every situation. What is different in Konnekt’s methodology is that it is our dedication and integrity that drives us towards the end result.

How do you see Konnekt's role in society?

Recruitment, when done in the right manner, is the perfect way to effect long lasting and productive introductions. Connections that matter do not just happen. They are the result of a strong work ethic, the right considerations being taken into account and a thorough understanding of the drivers within the market. At Konnekt, we do not just place candidates. We believe in finding the right match for both the candidate and the client to  optimise the organisation’s performance and ensure a candidate’s continuous development.
