PN highlights need for long-term plan for development in meeting with MDA

PN Leader Adrian Delia has said that long-term planning is needed to ensure that the limited land in Malta is being best used for the good of society.

He was speaking during a meeting with the Malta Developers Association. He spoke of the need for transparency when transferring public land to private individuals.

Delia said the PN is resulting in a change for the better in society. He said that the PN is working to solve the rent problems, and will see what is creating injustice. He said that development should no longer be considered in conflict with the protection of the environment.

MDA President Sandro Chetcuti agreed that a long-term plan for drawn up, respecting the investment done by developers. Chetcuti explained how the construction sector offers around 37,000 people jobs, and that the MDA is ready to work with the Opposition for the good of the industry.
