Shooting: Mikaela Galea first ever female trap shooter to win trophy in 110 years of sport in Malta

Monday, 19 March 2018, 12:18 Last update: about 7 years ago
Mikaela Galea wrote a new page in the history of shooting sports in Malta today, when she was the first ever, female trap shooter to win The Anthony Caruana Trap Selection. This result can only be good for not just shooting but all sport on the Maltese Islands. It will provide motivation to all the younger athletes and provide encouragement for females to compete on an equal basis with their male counterparts.
The entire MSSF will be looking forward to Mikaela competing in The ISSF World Cup to be held in Malta next June.
