Politicians not interviewed during investigations into journalist’s murder - reports

Politicians were not interviewed during the investigations looking into the assassination of Journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, news reports from the Daphne Project journalists read.

A consortium of 18 news organisations are pursuing the stories that had been followed by slain journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, and will be publishing the work The news organisations include the New York Times, The Guardian, and Süddeutsche Zeitung, the newspaper behind the Panama Papers revelations. The project was organised an investigative non-profit organisation Forbidden Stories.

Reports quote a source familiar with the probe. Daphne Project reporters wrote that the source said police believe the person who ordered the hit was likely part of an organised crime ring.

Reports also read that investigators are currently probing the connections of the three suspects currently charged with the journalist's murder, attempting to discover who ordered the assassination.

In a separate article, husband of assassinated journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia said that she considered stopping writing in her blog after the last general election in June 2017, according to news reports by journalists forming part of the Daphne Project.
